Speed 3 will be speeding into production if Keanu Reeves has his way.

The actor appeared with Speed co-star Sandra Bullock on the 50 MPH podcast and said, “I mean, you know — we’d freakin’ knock it out of the park.”

A classic action blockbuster, Speed is the fourth highest-grossing movie of 1994. Its story of a bomb-rigged bus that can’t dip below 50mph or else explode generated $350 million worldwide and made stars out of Reeves and Bullock.

“Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera,” added Bullock. “Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Are we on little scooters at Disneyland?”

Reeves and Bullock did reunite in 2006 romantic drama The Lake House, but it didn’t have quite the impact of Speed

“It does feel like there is a siren call to it, like there’s something that wasn’t done,” Reeves continued. “I would love to work with you again before our eyes close.”

Bullock did reprise her role in 1997’s Speed 2: Cruise Control, which relocated the action to a cruise ship, but it was a commercial flop that Reeves wisely avoided.
