Ohio State looks to be in good position with nation’s No. 1 2025 offensive tackle after this past weekend

Ohio State had a great weekend on the recruiting trail even if they did not land a pledge.

First reported by Jeremy Birmingham of Ohio State Rivals, the Buckeyes received a second unofficial visit from 2025 OT David Sanders this past weekend.

The nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle still has an official to make to Ohio State and they look to be in a very good place with the blue chip player.

Other schools in the mix are Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and Tennessee. The five-star recruit has over 40 offers and is sought after by every major program in college football.

Ohio State getting another unofficial just a month after seeing him bodes well for their chances to land him. The elite tackle recruit is very interested in the Buckeyes and showing it.

The Buckeyes are in a great spot when it comes to his official visits because they’ll draw him last. Sanders will visit Clemson officially at the end of May then in June will visit Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama before ending up in Columbus on June 21.

It is not hard to see why Sanders is a priority recruit for Ohio State and other schools. Standing at 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds, Sanders is well on his way to being built like a power-five offensive tackle.
