Chargers Release Status Report for Week 1
USA TODAY Sports

Less than 48 hours from now, your Chargers will be playing a real football game. It will all kick off at Sofi Stadium against the Miami Dolphins, and for the most part, many Bolt players will be available and healthy for the game.

The key word is most. Which means there are a couple of players on the injured list, two to be exact, and it's rookie linebacker Daiyan Henley and edge rusher Chris Rumph.

According to Chargers insider Daniel Popper, both of them did not practice on Friday.

According to head coach Brandon Staley, the rookie suffered his hamstring injury against the 49ers in their final preseason game. There is no timetable for his return, and I doubt he will be out there for Week 1. Henley had the highest PFF grade for his position among rookies in the preseason, and he will be greatly missed if he's unable to go.

As for Rumph, he injured his hamstring in practice on Wednesday, according to coach Staley. If he is unable to go, rookie Tuli Tuipulotu will get the start and showcase his talents in his first official professional game.

On the bright side, this is the shortest the LA injury list has been in a long time, and hopefully, it can stay that way throughout the season.

We wish Henley and Rumph the best and for a speedy recovery.
