Wolves’ defence has no chance of containing City’s number 9 as he took apart the visitors. It was Erling Haaland at his best. He looks a playe refreshed after he missed two games following City’s UEFA Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid. Since returning against Nottingham Forest last week, Haaland has looked like a man on a mission. With his confidence and goal scoring form back, he has the potential to be a pivotal factor in this season’s title race. At his best, there is no better striker in world football. Saturday’s display from Haaland was a reminder of this.

After Arsenal’s comfortable win over Bournemouth in Saturday’s early kick off, the champions had to respond. They did that with a dominant performance against Gary O’Neil’s side. It moved the world champions to within three wins of history. Manchester City has clicked into gear late in the season in an ominous sign for Arsenal. Pep Guardiola’s side will be looking to carry the form they showed on Saturday into this weekend’s clash with Fulham. If they do, it may set the scene for a massive final week of the Premier League season.
